62. BARON, SOLINGEN, GERMANY, c. 1950-60’s, 8 1/2" HUNTING KNIFE, with 4 5/8" flat ground clip blade, with small false edge on each side of the blade, with brushed finish. Half brass guard. One piece round stag handle, with carved stag on the front, with brown and white spacers on each side. Mushroom shaped aluminum pommel with countersunk brass nut. Original Edgemark sheath in mint condition. NM $75.00

63. P. OSTWALD, BAKER, OREGON, c. 1940’s, 10" HUNTING-SKINNING KNIFE, with 5 ¾" upswept flat ground skinning blade. The blade is about 90% full with some scratches and evidence of sharpening and use. Full brass guard. The handle is made of reddish material looking like insulating material in a square shape, with a mushroom shaped aluminum pommel with countersunk brass nut. This knife comes in a wonderful W.W. II era sheath with fine tooling on the front with the number #39481498 stamped on the back. We have had many pocket knives, but this is the only Ostwald fixed blade we have seen. This knife comes with a "P.W. Ostwald Cutlery Works" business card-rare! EX- $250.00    SOLD

64. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’S, 11 7/8" COHO FISH KNIFE, with 6" flat ground straight filet blade, with bright finish. One piece cast alloy handle with integral half guard and round "spoon" at the pommel, with a black armorhide finish. Original folded and sewn leather sheath in near mint condition. NM-MINT $135.00

65. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’S, 8 1/2" MINI-MAGNUM, with 4" fairly straight flat ground blade, which has been cleaned to near mint. It appears about full. One piece cast alloy handle with two fingergrooves, painted black, with integral half guard. Folded and sewn leather sheath in about excellent condition, which is stamped "Shorty" on the back, so it is not the original sheath, but it fits well. EX $ 125.00

66. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’S, 10 3/4" MUSKIE, with 5 1/2" straight flat ground blade, which has been cleaned to near mint. It appears about full. One piece cast alloy handle with bright finish, with integral half guard. Folded and sewn leather sheath in about excellent condition, which is stamped "Muskie" on the back. EX $ 125.00

GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1950’s, SET OF THREE KNIVES IN WALNUT SHIELD, with 12 3/4" LITTLE SNICK, with 7 1/2" flat ground straight blade, with two tined point, with brightly finished solid aluminum alloy handle. The other knives are a 9 5/8" CURTANA with 4 3/8" straight thin blade, which is 1 ¼" deep at the deepest part, curving dramatically to the tip. The other knife is a PIXIE of similar construction. These three knives come in a fine Walnut shield shaped case which was designed to be hung on the kitchen wall, with a fine round Gerber shield on the front. This is an early set in near mint condition. Rare! NM $150.00

68. ANTON WINGEN, JR., SOLINGEN, GERMANY c. 1940-50’S, 8 3/4" HUNTING KNIFE, with 4 5/8" flat ground clip blade, with small false edge on the clip, brightly finished and cleaned to near mint. Half brass guard. One piece round smooth stag or bone handle, with no cracks or chips. There are black and brass and cream spacers on both sides of the handle between the guard and the mushroom shaped aluminum pommel, with countersunk brass nut. The high quality folded and sewn black leather sheath, with leather thong attached, is not original, but appears to have been made for the knife. EX+ $95.00

69. GERBER, SHORTY, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’S, 9 1/4" SHORTY HUNTING KNIFE, with 4 1/2" flat ground straight filet blade, with bright finish. One piece cast alloy handle with integral half guard and two fingergrooves, with a painted black finish. Original folded and sewn leather sheath in near mint condition. EX++ $95.00

70. GERBER, A450, PORTLAND, OR. USA, c. 1970’S, 8 7/8" A450 HUNTING KNIFE, with single 4 1/8" flat ground straight blade, full, with original polish. One piece cast allow handle with integral half guard, with dark grey armorhide finish, with drilled pistol grip pommel. Most of the finish is remaining on the handle, probably 98-99%. Original folded and sewn leather sheath in about excellent condition. NM $135.00     SOLD

71. GERBER, MAGNUM, PORTLAND, OR. USA, c. 1968-70, 10 3/4" MAGNUM (HUNTER), with 5 1/2" flat ground straight blade, full, with original polish. There are a couple tiny scratches on the blade, which are not distracting. One piece large molded cast alloy handle with integral half guard, with dark grey armorhide finish, with drilled pistol grip pommel. Most of the finish is remaining on the handle, probably 98-99%. Original folded and sewn leather "Piggyback" sheath in about excellent condition, missing the Pixie knife that went into the smaller sheath. Probably an early knife as only the word "Magnum" is stamped on the handle. The Magnum was made between 1968-70 and the Magnum Hunter was made after 1970. NM $245.00     SOLD

72. GERBER, K3542S, PORTLAND, OR. USA, c. 1980’S, 11 7/8" MARK II SURVIVAL KNIFE, with 6 ¾" dagger blade, sharpened on both sides, with serrated edge on both sides in the middle of the blade. The blade appears full with original brushed finish. One piece molded cast alloy handle with full forward curving guard, painted black, with drilled skull crusher pommel. Original black nylon scabbard in less than excellent condition. EX $95.00     SOLD

73. UNNAMED (F. BARTEAUX, PORTLAND, OR.) c. 1960-70’S, 7 3/4" BARTEAUX HUNTING-SKINNER-UTILITY KNIFE, with 3 ¼" flat ground straight blade, with brushed finish. One piece cast aluminum handle with integral guard and birds head pommel, with a finish to make it look like stag. This knife comes in its original mint black leather Barteaux folded and sewn sheath, with "GENUINE BARTEAUX HANDMADE KNIVES" stamped on it. EX+-NM $75.00     SOLD

74. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970, PRESENTATION THREE PIECE CARVING SET, with a 15 1/2" SNICKERSNEE carving knife, with over 10" flat ground blade, with two tined point, with cast aluminum alloy handle with half integral guard and bright metal finish. The knife is near mint, with original polish on the blade, with a few very light scratches. The other two pieces consist of two (2) two tined forks, one being a 11 1/4" RON, with 6" tines and the other a 10 3/4" SIEGFRIED, with 5 1/2" two tined fork. These fine pieces come a a beautiful walnut case with a "GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES" metal or plastic shield inside, with red velvet and "GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES" stamped underneath. There is a small Gerber pamphlet inside with a "1 cent" invoice, with an explanation of the superstition about giving knives as gifts. Also there is a small pamphlet about sharpening and care of knives from Gerber entitled "FOR KEEN ENJOYMENT" which is the only one of these we have seen. On the front of the box is a presentation "1970 BUICK SALESMASTER-PORTLAND ZONE." NM $125.00

75. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1940’s-1990’s, BOXED EIGHT (8) PIECE STEAK KNIFE SET, with eight (8) MIMING knives, 8 1/2" long with a 3" flat ground blade, with cast aluminum alloy handles. Four of these knives are very early-perhaps late 1940’s or early 1950’s. The other four are perhaps later, probably 1970’s, except one is probably 1990’s. The fine Walnut box is lined with red velvet, with about 90% intact. The box is fully intact, with some light scratches. Underneath the box it says Gerber Legendary Blades. NM-MINT $75.00

76. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’s, BOXED TWO PIECE CARVING SET, with 14 1/4" BALMUNG carving knife, with 9 1/4" straight blade, with all original polish. The second piece is a 11 1/4" RON CARVING FORK, with 6 1/4" two tined fork. Both pieces have brightly finished cast aluminum alloy handles. The fine anodized aluminum and walnut box is lined with red velvet, mostly intact. There is a "GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES" metal or plastic shield attached inside of the cover. A fine early set, very unusual. NM-MINT $75.00

77. GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’s, BOXED GUNGNIR SHARPENING STEEL, with 11 ½" steel, with brightly finished cast aluminum alloy handle, with a full integral guard. This neat piece comes in a cream colored cardboard gift box with red velvet interior with walnut spacers, with a price tag of $27.50 on the box. MINT $50.00

GERBER, PORTLAND, OR., USA, c. 1970’s, BOXED CARVING SET, with 14 1/4" BALMUNG carving knife, with 9" flat ground straight blade, with a brightly finished aluminum handle, with a full integral guard. There is also a 10 7/8" SIEGFRIED two tined carving fork, with a 5 1/2" fork. This set comes in a cream colored cardboard gift box with red velvet interior with walnut spacers, with a Gerber pamphlet inside, with a price tag of $42.50 on the box. MINT $75.00
