CHINESE AUTOMATA SHELF ALARM CLOCK, c. 1940-50’S,
6” wide x 3 ½” deep x 4 ¾” tall SHELF ALARM CLOCK. The round clock, painted red, sits on an oval red metal base, which has a calendar, with day, day and month on it. The clock has a painted dial with colored picture of Chinese leader (not sure who it is) with other pictures of men and women soldiers. Also, fancy luminous hour and minute hands, with the second hand being a jet plane. The automata is an arm which rotates up and down as the clock runs. (not running-not sure what the problem).
